It was a kind of tennis born in Japan in 1984 by Mr. Miyoshi Takei, and it was designed for people with blindness and visual impairment people. The first idea of creating this game was that Mr. Miyoshi Takei was a blind student and tennis was his favorite sport. With his physical education teacher, this sport was created. Nowadays, more than 30 countries on five continents play this game very professionally.

The ball used in this game is larger than a regular tennis ball and makes a sound. The racket size can be between 23 inches to 27 inches.

Goalball

In 1946, a game to rehabilitate the veterans of World War II was created by Austrian Hanz Lorenzen and German Sepp Rekindle. The purpose was to help the people who had lost their sight. The playfield dimensions are the same as a volleyball court. Spain is considered the pioneer of blind football which is played since the 1920s. On the other hand, Brazil started developing football 5-a-side in the 1960s and held the first national tournament in 1974. The ball is a sound ball that allows the player to locate the ball position in the field and play the game easily. The playfield is a rectangular field 16 meters long and 7 meters wide. There are three players in each team, and this blind sports consist of two teams. The ball is about 300 grams with an inner sound device that makes a sound.
